Paper Trails

Co-created with my brother Jake, Paper Trails is an online app which allows you to create memorable art prints from your Strava/GPX data of your most treasured adventures and achievements.

I built the front and back ends myself while both of us worked on the UX together. The whole experience of setting up and launching a new business on the side has been incredibly rewarding.

On the technical side of things, the front-end consists of React, Redux, Sagas, Storybook, Mapbox, Jest for TDD and React Snap for pre-rendered static pages. The back-end is a custom-built REST API written in PHP using Laravel (Lumen). Payments are handled by both Stripe and PayPal and orders are fulfilled by Pwinty's API.
